Greece, also known as Hellas.
Greece is located at the southeast end of Europe and it is the southernmost country of the Balkan Peninsula.
The islands are Greece’s chief morphological trait and an integral part of the country’s civilisation and tradition. Crete is the largest island in Greece - the fifth largest in the Mediterranean and it is located south in Greece separating the Aegean from Libyan Sea, the southeast part of Europe, a link between three continents Asia, Africa and Europe.
It is one of the most famous Greek islands. Crete is an island with an exquisite 1000 kilometre-long coastline dotted with numerous coves, bays and peninsulas, which afford a multitude of soft, sandy beaches along, the beautifully blue Mediterranean Sea. After all, it’s among the finest in the world and haw established Crete as one of the Europe’s most popular holidays destinations. And of course the island’s historic importance in today’s world, as the home of the Minoan Civilization, with important archaeological finds at Knossos, Phaistos and Gortys.
The biggest cities in Crete are Chania, Rethymno, Iraklio and Agios Nikolaos.
Chania lies on the north coast of west Crete and is the capital of Chania Prefecture.  Chania city is the most beautiful in Crete, one might even say in the whole of Greece.
Chania city pressers the traditional architecture and most of its monuments are from Venetian and Turkish times. The Venetian harbour with lighthouse and the old town in the centre have bestowed on Chania the reputation of the most picturesque city in Greece, welcoming thousands of visitors each year.

You can travel to Chania by plane on domestic flights from other Greek airports, or on international charter flights from many European countries.  The Airport of Chania is knowing as Chania Airport, or “Ioannis Daskaloyannis Airport”.
There are also daily ferries from Piraeus to Souda Bay, 7 kilometres east of the Chania.
Georgia-Vicky Apartments  is located in Stavros Akrotiri is a round shaped peninsula at the east of Chania.

The most famous Beach is Stauros Beach, is world-famous for being the filming location of the critically acclaimed movie "Zorba The Greek" which was based on the novel "Alexis Zorbas" by Nikos Kazantzakis with Antony Quinn and Alan Bates.
It consists of 2 picturesque sandy beaches (Sunset Beach & Blue Beach).
Its numerous monasteries, from the oldest in Crete, played a significant role in the history of the area. Gorges of outstanding beauty offer a unique hiking experience, breathtaking views and the joy of exploration. Caves with great historical and litho logical interest are almost everywhere in the mountains near to Georgia-Vicky apartments.

One of the worth visiting places are the tombs of the Venizelos family, where has been buried the important Greek politician and prime minister of the early 20 th century, Eleftherios Venizelos (1864-1936). Little far away you can find (Koukouvagia) the most famous cafeteria in the city with very nice view to chania and the most delicious and large cake.
